Windows Media Player version 11.0.6001.7010 running with Vista. Having problems with auto sync backup of music. Backup only taking across those songs/albums which also appear in Personal Playlists. Ignores all the rest of the music/media showing in Windows Media Player. Also, where there are additional tracks from the same album which do not appear in a Personal Playlist, it ignores these additional tracks (i.e. it'll take 2 from an album but ignore the other 10). Has only started to happen in last 2-3 weeks. Previously, when I set up Sync Partnership, there were options in the "Sync Playlists" view on Device Set Up, such as "All Music" "All Pictures" "5* rated music" etc etc. None of these now showing as available. Am only offered my Personal Playlists. Any solutions? View this thread

Hi, I'm running Windows XP, and in the "My Pictures" folder, I have over 17,000 files. It keeps screwing up on me however. One minute the names of the files are underneath them, the next, they are all gone. I read Zack's answer as to how to fix this by right-clicking on a blank area of the screen and disabling the hide option. But when I do it and go to the view tab he talks about, there isn't a hide file function to begin with! This is really weird. It comes and goes and I'd like to stop it for good. I am trying to install the Office 2013 Pro evaluation proggie, and once downloaded, when I press to install, all that opens is my copy of Corel Paintshop ProX5, and an error message in PaintShopPro saying "Unable to open the file. Please verify the file is valid " . I also notice that the downloaded programme appears to have an .img ending...this is the download details OfficeProfessionalPlus_x64_en-us.img Anyone any ideas please as I'd really like to try the new Office 2013 before deciding whether or not I want to buy it. ~ andy View this thread

Hello, thanks for taking time to help me. Windows XP Pro SP3. I keep getting a blue screen error, it shows the above mentioned file as the culprit, (page in non-page). I used device manager to update the driver (it belongs to my wireless USB on my old computer that connects it wirelessly to my modem), it did do an update, but I still get the blue screen error. What will happen if I uninstall this driver, unplug the wireless USB and plug it back in again? Will it just find the update it already did? Do I need to get with my service provider for an original driver file? This happened after the recent March Updates. Nothing else has changed, except an update to Adobe Reader. I am about ready to turn this old spare computer into extra storage, it is really a headache ;-)) By the way, I do have restore points, and a backup, anybody know how I can pull just this driver from the backup? I would hate to do 2 months worth of updates just to fix this. THANKS! View this thread

I have for more than 3 yrs had my current computer running Windows 7 : 64 bit operating system and wirelessly connecting it to my Brother Printer DCP340CW. However, the Windows Firewall has suddenly stopped my computer talking to the printer. If I turn the firewall off I am able to print successfully. I have checked the box is still ticked in the Firewall security to let the Brother Printer through and it is. Any ideas please would be appreciated. Many thanks. View the thread

Hi, I purchased a ASUS laptop second hand laptop from my friend 2 years ago, and now I am about to format my windows 7 and I afraid that I might lose the genuine windows after format, and I just realize I didn't not get any CD from him when I purchase this laptop. Found and answer to modify the registry via command prompt but can't get to the command prompt and Shift+F10 at the error message screen does not respond. I have an HP Pavilion Elite that came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed. I recently purchased a 120 GB SSD and wanted to install Windows 7 and programs on the SSD and use the old 1 TB HDD for storage. Rather than clone my old HDD I decided to try a clean install of Windows 7 on the SSD. When I tried to do this using the recovery DVDs I had made, I received an error stating that I could not do a recover install of Windows 7 because the disk was smaller than the disk Windows was originally installed on. To get around this problem I downloaded an official Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit ISO and burned it to a DVD. I then used Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to find my original Windows 7 key and proceeded to do a clean install of Windows 7 on my SSD. When it came time to enter my product key, my key was not accepted. I now have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed on my SSD but I cannot activate it and I am running out of time. Should I be able to activate Windows 7 with the key from my original HP install or am I screwed here? Is there any way that I can use the recovery DVD's from my original install of Windows 7 to install it on my SSD and avoid this problem? Thanks for any advice. View the thread
