  1. Make sure all your cables are fully secure. Update the graphics card driver and reconfigure it via windows display and depending on your card you would have to configure it via NVIDIA Control Panel or ATI Catalyst. I would also check power settings from within windows. Are you sure it is just going to sleep due to a wrong setting in power settings? Monitors do go off due to power settings as in turn monitor off to save power.
  2. Hello there. Update to the latest service pack. I would download and run your laptops chipset from the makers website. If this dont cure the issue your USB maybe damaged or due to fail.
  3. Sorry for the delay in reply I have been working and had to sort two computers and a network. Ok you could do with a bit of a cleanup on your hard drive before it gets even fuller. Download: CCleaner - Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download and install it. Then highlight the Cleaner button on left. Click analyze button on bottom left, once analyzed click run cleaner button. Close CCleaner. Uninstall any programs you no longer use that are not windows processes. Restart the computer and enter BIOS/Setup. This is restart and it will say on screen "Press ? to enter setup" ? could be F1,F2 or Del key. Check under boot tab your hard drive is first boot device and CD/DVD rom is second. If there are not set that way use the arrow keys to set them correctly save and exit BIOS. Often a wrong boot order can slow a PC. We can test the system as well by removing ALL external hardware that is not required to boot and run the computer.Turn off the computer remove the items and restart the computer do you notice a diffrence in startup speed? Update hardware drivers. Give the computer a defragmentation. Open command prompt and type in chkdsk /r and hit enter on your keyboard. You will proberly get a message saying cannot run now would you like to schedule just type Y on your keyboard and hit enter. Restart the computer and let chkdsk /r run and it will check the hard drive for any errors.

  15. Hello and welcome. Firstly change your MSN password. Step 1 Download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop Please double-click TFC.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator). It will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin. Click the Start button to begin the process. Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two. Let it run uninterrupted to completion. Once it's finished it should reboot your machine. If it does not, please manually reboot the machine yourself to ensure a complete clean. Step 2 Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop. Make sure you are connected to the Internet. Double-click on Download_mbam-setup.exe to install the application. When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings. When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked: Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware [*]Then click Finish. [*]MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install. [*]On the Scanner tab: Make sure the "Perform Full Scan" option is selected. Then click on the Scan button. [*]If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button. [*]The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient. [*]When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found". [*]Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process. [*]Back at the main Scanner screen, click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found. [*]Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. [*]When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart your computer. (see Note below) [*]The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM. [*]Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM. Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. 20. Can I add have you updated to the latest service pack? EDIT:Try and download from Intel: Intel® 82852/82855 Graphics Controller Family - Intel® 82852/82855 Graphics Controller family support
  21. I have deleted your other thread, please do not double post. Tootech I wrote this post on his other thread and it seems a waste to just delete it. Hello and welcome. My first thought is to check all cables are secure and fully connected. My second is to try the monitor on another computer or laptop/netbook and see if it has the same issue. If the monitor works on another machine then your computer is the issue. Now are you sure the computer is fully powering up and staying on/running? If the computer is running and staying on then shut down the computer then restart it.Repeatedly tap F8 key and a list comes up please choose safe mode. Can you get into safe mode? Or can you get into last known good config? Another to try is can you restart and get into BIOS and does the screen go to sleep?
  22. I have this netbook, installed 2 gig RAM and installed Vista Ultimate 32 bit. The resolution maybe and issue as the NC10 is 1024×600 pixels. However if any issues you could attach a VGA monitor but that would have to be compatable and it would also have to be able to be set at a higher resolution than the NC10 can handle there is a way to force a higher resolution this but not recommended. Although you could attach a LCD screen if you use a VGA-DVI convertor connector. All being said it may not work correctly either by main screen or external.
  23. I hope someone pops on and helps.
  24. I have found very little information on this but it appears to be down to the remote control its not just a pansonic TV issue but other brands to. I hope someone else will pop on and give you further advice. The remote appears to be the issue.Although Sky HD remotes appear to be the issue and not the normal set topboxes remotes. Have you thought of trying a "magic remote"? This magic remote would be cheaper then having Sky send you a new one and you could tune in DVD,video,Sky and your TV to be used with it. It appears a Sky remote issue for HD boxes nothing to do with the brand or model of TV.
  25. Ahhhh the code is to do with setup of your remote and TV. I found this link,go to remote setup and control listed on the left and it gives you: Panasonic 0051 and how to set your remote up. http://www1.sky.com/userguides/sky_box_oct05.pdf Also possibly remove batteries from remote for a few mins, replace as this resets the remote to basics then reset it up for your TV.
