I am getting very frustrated with this process. This is the second time that I'm keying in this question. I bought the Office Home & Student 2013 with my new laptop purchase. I tried the download on the Friday I purchased the laptop and it happened to be the Friday that there was problems with the website. I have not had the opportunity to try the download again until yesterday. I took the laptop back to Office Depot where I bought it and Joe set up the link for me to do the install. I tried the install (from the shortcut) and never got farther than the question about this software changing the computer - I click yes and the window closes and nothing happens. So I went and deleted all the downloaded files - to start clean and deleted the shortcut. Now I login and it takes me to the window to download - I do that, when it asks to run or save - I've tried both - with the same result - 'something is wrong - go online for help'. Upgraded with Home Premium upgrade disc. 32 bit. HPPavillion m9000 Desktop. I upgraded to be able to use QAM features of the Haupaggue 1800. Now I am unable to set up the TV signal. I upgraded the drivers from Haupaggue. Windows device manager tells me the card is functioning properly and that the driver is up to date. View the thread

I'm using Windows 7. However, I installed Microsoft Photo Editor from the XP disk so an existing Access database OLE will work correctly. Now I'm getting XP Service Pack updates listed as important in Windows Update. Should I install these XP updates even though I only have Microsoft Photo Editor? I have a customer with an HP Elite computer, Windows 8, and Office 2013 (perpetual license, NOT Office 365). The first page of a print job to an HP laser printer comes out fine. However, it will not print another page. Word or Excel hangs, and then asks to "Restart, or Close". After the first page, if I go to Task Manager, I see "Windows Host Process (Rundll32) Not Responding". Also when I close Windows 8, I get the message hpmsn140.dll or hpmsn09.dll "Not Responding". This problem does not occur with other applications. This problem does not occur with other non-HP LaserJet printers. This problem occurs with both USB and network printers. The only way to clear the problem is rebooting the computer. I have tried the Windows 8 driver, HP's PCL 6 driver from their website, and HP Universal Print Driver from their website. All have the same issue. I have tried logging in as Administrator, as well as, the Standard User. Both logins have the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Michael View this thread

Hello, I tried installing server 2012 on my my home network and it changed my Windows 8 Home computer to be part of a domain. I changed it back to a homegroup and have uninstalled the Server convector and server 2012. Server 2012 is a bad idea for a home server. I have ran WHS for about 4yrs now and it was a great product unfortunately I cannot say the same about server 2012 for home usage. The problem I have now I I cannot get my standard windows 8 Login to show. I have changes back to a workgroup and have Changed windows 8 to a local account then back to an MSN account. How ever the log in page is still not the same. Attached is the image of my laptop Which is Good and the standard windows 8 login. The other Pic is what I see when booting my windows 8 desktop after the server 2012 connector issues. Starting to think I am losing my mind.. :-| I am trying to create an installation of Office 2013 Pro Plus where the Spanish language pack is installed and the displayed interface of the Office apps (as well as proofing tools etc) follow the selected language of the Operating system. (which is English with a Spanish Language pack installed) We are a volume license customer and I am using Office 2013 ProPlus downloaded from the VL site. I have also downloaded the Office 2013 Multi Language Pack from our VL site. Per this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd162397.aspx I have "combined" the Multi Language Pack files with the Office 2013 Pro Plus files (not overwriting any files). I then added the following to my Config.xml: I am installing it with the switch to point it to the config file. The install goes through fine, however I cannot seem to get the interface to change to spanish. When I look at the Language options I see: http://extremetechsupport.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/35e6ab34c407db7216c508a90e94aaab._.png As you can see there is no entry in the "Choose Display and Help Languages" for Spanish. I accomplished this in Office 2010 using a Spanish specific LIP but this is not available for Office 2013. Hi, we must use Outlook 2013 IMAP, however our IMAP Servers do not support XLIST. But: We are fully flexible when it comes to IMAP folder names on our IMAP servers. Is there a solution based on the folder names, so that we can get Outlook 2013 to correctly determine the special folders (i.e. Trash, Drafts, Sent, Junk) without our Servers supporting XLIST? Hi All, I bought a HP Envy m6 laptop early Dec 2012 with pre-installed Windows8 from HP I started using it a month later and almost from day 1 it is restarting after displaying a blue screen stating "Your PC Ran Into a Problem, We are collecting Information, We Restart For You" I error messages are not the same most of the time. I thought it might because of the software's I installed (all normal softwares like office, skype etc) so, last week I restored my laptop to default factory settings using the Recovery drive But, the restarts are happening even from the first hour of the installation. The restarts also won't happen for the same cause. I will be watching only a youtube it restart, some times when I browse a single site or some times when I browse multiple sites on different tabs. Please help me out with any solution for this problem, I am trying in different forums but, I couldn't find any posts with proper resolution.
