  3. Hi, There is a bug in the pagination of the screencasts, whereby if you select a subject matter (such as SQL Server) then click the number of the next page, it doesn't remember the subject you selected. The TagID from the first URL : http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=38&TagID=28 is not passed to the second page. This means you see a second page that includes all screencasts, not just SQL Server. Hope you can help. Cheers Steve More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

  8. I've got a simple painting routine for a control I made, it calls the TextRenderer class directly, like so: using(Font fText = new Font("MS Sans Serif", 10)) using(Font fTitl = new Font(fText, FontStyle.Regular)) { // FontStyle.Bold)) { // g.DrawString(e.Participant.Name, fText, SystemBrushes.ControlText, rCapName); // g.DrawString(e.Name , fTitl, SystemBrushes.ControlText, rCapTitl); TextRenderer.DrawText(g, e.Participant.Name, fText, rCapName, SystemColors.ControlText, TextFormatFlags.Left); TextRenderer.DrawText(g, e.Name , fTitl, rCapTitl, SystemColors.ControlText, TextFormatFlags.Left); } Yet when ClearType is enabled the text comes out with an ugly bold appearance, but turn ClearType off ("Standard" anti-aliasing is fine) and it looks fine. ClearType is on the left, Standard on the right. What's up? http://www.w3bdevil.com/misc/ClearTypeBork.png More... View All Our Microsoft Related Feeds

  14. Hello.* This is a question in which Mark Brown who led the PowerTogether campaign last year could possibly answer.* I received a 32-bit Vista Business Edition DVD last year as part of the PowerTogether promotion.* I can now can not use the DVD to re-install Vista at this time.* My computer simply will not boot to the DVD to reinstall it.* My DVD drive is otherwise working fine, and I*just tried*booting to another DVD and it worked just fine.* I think perhaps the Vista DVD is defective?* I am now running Vista SP1, and the DVD is just Vista but I don't think that should matter at all does it? How can I get a replacement DVD?* I called Microsoft at 1-800-360-7561, but they said I would have to get a replacement DVD through the people who were running the PowerTogether promotion. More...
