  1. Did you download the XP? Did you download and run straight from the download? Did you download and save and burn to disk as a bootable ISO?

I am afraid to say it is against forum rules to help with your issue as it appears you are using downloaded OS installs that we as a forum and team do not support such OS,s and illegal practices. You may read the forum rules at your leasure. Due to forum rules and legalities of your request we are unable to help you.Your problems are Microsoft reconises your XP as hacked/cracked and this is your possible issue of unable to download and install.   3. You need to format it via disk management and assign a drive letter. Internal hard drives,external hard drives and USB pen drives are never exact you will always find them slightly more smaller in gig/mb than they actualy are,this is natural.

  5. Hello there. I would not advise installing on D then ridding yourself of C. Often enough having a main OS as any other drive letter than C can cause terrible issues and you may not be able to boot. I would back all data from C drive incase of any errors then use C as the install for Win 7.

  8. Can I also add if this Vista disk was already used on another computer as you dont realy find Vista disks lying around unless they were for another computer. If the disk has been used on another computer then you have messed up the system,it is one disk and one computer not one disk many computers. You need to purchase a new install legal disk.

  14. I would sugest fitting a graphics card and test that way. It could be bad RAM that is causing this issue. Try removing RAM sticks and test each individualy.

  17. As Vista is NTFS I would just convert the whole external to NTFS and check girlfriends machine and see if it is NTFS or FAT32. If it is FAT32 just convert to NTFS. While the external is plugged into the Vista machine it can be partitioned into several partitions via Vista disk management. There should be no problem converting everything to NTFS.
  18. What did the scanner say? You could fit 2 x 256 ? Did it say you could fit 2 512 mb?
  19. We are not sure of what could of caused this at the moment. Did you connect the card via USB? Have you tried restarting and repeatedly tapping F8 and choose safe mode or last known good config that worked? Do either of these options work?

  21. Check all fans are correctly running. The HDD noise may mean a failing hard drive. Open command prompt and type in chkdsk /r and hit enter on your keyboard.You may get a message saying cannot run at this time would you like to schedule,type Y and restart the computer and let chkdsk run.

  24. I have a feeling there is a virus on this computer and sugest you visit our security section. Sytem restore can be done through setting first boot to DVD rom in BIOS pop in disk and option system restore.
